VOLUNTEER WORK

Since the beginning of 1997, the IIMC has started to tackle the problem of poverty by encouraging a micro- savings and credit project for the poor women, starting an irrigation project in the remote village of Dukherpole, and a sewing project based at the IIMC headquarters.
We have purchased 2600m2 of land to grow crops for local poor farmers. We have been able to install a deep tube-well and water pump which not only supplies water to our land but also other local farms for cultivation during the dry season.
