The Health Education Team works directly with the mothers in homes and at the clinics to discuss matters of hygiene, nutrition, contraception, maternal and child health etc. They have a room at the new school in the remote area of Hogulkuria for regular consultations and contact with children and parents. The work is currently developing with the use of drama, dance and music to spread health messages. Recently the team has been assisting in the rebuilding of homes destroyed in floods. The Intensive Care Program (I.C.P) monitors the growth of malnourished children and prepares a high energy, protein-rich food called N.D. (Nutritional Diet) from local ingredients. Mothers are taught about diet and children are examined, compared with their growth chart and given health care.
