MEDICAL WORK

A )  ACTIVITIES OF HEALTH CLINICS

  Tegharia Outdoor :

We have passed ten-year in the field of health clinic at Tegharia twice in a week. 1st April 1999 to 31st March 2000 we have provided consultation and free medicine to 35,094 patients, 1,976  mother were counseled. About 1,130 severely malnourished children were provided nutrition packet food and children growth has been monitored regularly. Nutritional cooked food was served among children. Mother counseling at the clinic is a usual. Three-health workers are counseling them at the clinic. The mothers are now much more aware about the birth spacing, they are quite concerned about breast feeding and low cost nutritional diet. By the help of Japan Govt. grass root assistance a X-ray machine has been installed in the month of July 1999.

Chakberia Sub-center :

According to the need health care in other remote area in the month of September 1999 Chakberia Sub-center was converted heath service once in a week instead of twice in a week. About 7,451 patients being attended and provided with free medicine, 31 children were immunized.

Hogolkuria Sub-center :

Hogolkuria Sub-center has been continuing for the last eight years. The number of patients is increasing being shifted in the new building. About 5116 Patients being attended in this year and 65 children were immunized.

Khayadah -Challapara  Subcenter
According to the need of this area IIMC had taken this project to promote the health status and to develop the education, agriculture and others related aspects. So the Challapara Rural Health Clinic started with auspicious opening ceremony on 4-9-99 by the Japan Vice consul General Mr. T. Yusha. He was the chief guest of this occasion. He praised the local people for their participation and cooperation to fulfill the objectives. Mr. T. Yusha also encouraged this project in a constructive way. His expectation was this " felt need" project will be sustainable project and will run towards a developed society.

INDOOR CENTER - RESIDENTIAL CHILD CARE CENTER ( R.C.C.C )

The Indoor Center has become more busier during this year. Motivation and effort has been made to improve the service. Its seems the health worker are serving the job with more efficiently & effectively. A system has been developed of full time nursing duty at Indoor center. Managing of nursing unit & patients monitoring process has been developed.

Hepatitis - B Vaccination
This year Hepatitis B- Vaccination was given to all IIMC health worker which was followed by for local inhabitants organized by a local sister organisation "Unnayani". Total 300 people were vaccinated in three phase.

In 28th February 2000 the Indoor first floor was inaugurated by Japan vice consulate by the help of Japan government. Many social distinguished people were preset in the auspicious ceremony.

Mobile Clinic :  In November 1999 one mobile clinic van was donated by help of Spanish people. The mobile van is very useful for rendering medical service in rural areas. Many more medical participants can use it for the same purpose. We all are very thankful to the Spanish people for their kind help.
